From the candles she swears by, to the bath products she loves for her kids—and even her favorite piece from the fall drop—here are the essentials to elevate your cozy game.

Fall is quickly approaching and that means... more time relishing in our cozies at home. So who better to talk to than the Queen-of-Cozy herself, Hill House Home founder Nell Diamond. We sat down with the founder ahead of the brand's fall drop to get a look at the goodies she is most excited to wear from the collection, her signature PJ and robe style, as well as the cozy essentials she loves to have around the home for her family. Think: her favorite bathtime products, go-to home scent, and even her favorite house-warming gifts. Read on for Nell's essentials here!

For the Fall drop, we asked Nell what's her essential piece from the collection. Easily, the knitwear, she tells us.

“We are launching knitwear for the first time, which is super exciting. These sweaters are my dream. They have little puff sleeves that give your shoulders definition and then they have princess seams, which keeps the front of the sweater flat, to optimize for styling a shirt underneath. And I love the colors too. Just because it’s fall doesn’t mean you have to wear boring colors.”

“I consider myself a cozy expert. The first cozy category is jammie—I have one year old twins and their first words were jammies. We love doing family jammie time.”

“I get into my pajamas at the most embarrassing time but I love it. We do our favorite prints in our Hill House jammies, my twins wear them, my 5 year old wears them, and I wear them. I wear the Charlotte sleep tee and shorts, and my kids wear the tiny sleep sets.”

"For hanging around the house, I will put the Drew robe, which has a belt attached, to keep me covered up and feeling presentable.”

“For bath time, I love this brand Paloroma—the packaging is the most beautiful thing but it also really smells good. That’s our go-to for the kids"

When asked whether she loves socks or is barefoot, Diamond says, neither. “I am a slipper person. I have the Ugg platform tazz slippers—they are iconic and the best thing I’ve ever put on my foot.”

“We love baths in our family. My older son has a playlist we add to, and we listen to that while they bathe. It has Encanto but also things his dad has taught him like the Beach Boys.”

For a fall cozy scent, Diamond swears by the Ralph Lauren Holiday candle. "There's a Ralph Lauren candle with red wax, which I'm ready for come September 1. That might be early but I love it."

And for the rest of the year? "Byredo has a candle called cotton poplin, which I put in all of our stores because it’s so appropriate. It smells so fresh and clean.”

As for what she's reading: “I’m a big reader. Right now I’m in the middle of The Latecomer”

And for her children? “My kids are obsessed with The Snail and the Whale—that's a regular during story time.”

“I tend to do monogrammed pillows, because it’s such a nice thing. It makes you feel like you’re in a fancy hotel.”
