The resurgence of Dungeons & Dragons continues with an upcoming live-action film set in the fantasy universe. A new trailer for the movie Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves kicked off San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday. Paramount shared new details, a poster, and first looks, of the upcoming fantasy adventure film. The movie has an impressive cast including Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Justice Smith, and veteran actor Hugh Grant as the film’s villain. And even Stranger Things also has a role in this as they helped reintroduce and popularize the pen-and-paper game “Dungeons & Dragons” to a brand new generation of kids and has led to a bigger interest in this new feature film. Honor Among Thieves hits theaters on March 3rd, 2023.

The court case against Ricky Martin has been dismissed. Martin’s nephew, who’d accused the “Livin’ La Vida Loca” singer of sexual abuse, asked to have the case dismissed in a Puerto Rican court on Thursday, and his request was obliged. “Just as we had anticipated, the temporary protection order was not extended by the Court. The accuser confirmed to the court that his decision to dismiss the matter was his alone, without any outside influence or pressure, and the accuser confirmed he was satisfied with his legal representation in the matter,” the statement read. “The request came from the accuser asking to dismiss the case.”

Kate McKinnon doesn’t know if she’ll be able to watch “Saturday Night Live” now that she’s gone. At least not yet. She told “People” magazine, quote, “It’s just too emo because I miss everyone so much. I mean, it’s my other family. “It’s too emo. So, I think I’m just going to tape ‘The Bachelorette’ and watch it.” Kate also discussed the difficult decision to leave, and why she finally decided it was time to go. Quote, “I thought about it for a very long time, and it was very, very hard. All I ever wanted to do in my whole life was be on ‘Saturday Night Live’. So, I did. I loved it, I had the best decade, and then I was just like, my body was tired, and I felt like it was time.”

Buffy the Vampire Slayer is returning to TV . . . but this time she’s fighting WEREWOLVES. Sarah Michelle Gellar will star in and produce a show called “Wolf Pack” for Paramount+. It’s by one of the people who made the “Teen Wolf” series. It’s about a California wildfire that awakens, quote, “a terrifying supernatural creature.” Sarah will play an investigator looking for the teenage arsonist who set the fire.

“Iron” Mike Tyson made it clear he does not support Hulu’s upcoming miniseries about his trials and tribulations. However, the streaming service will move forward with the program. Hulu just released the first trailer for Mike. The 8-episode limited series explores Mike Tyson’s boxing career and personal life. Trevante Rhodes (Moonlight, Bird Box) portrays the boxing legend. Mike will detail it all, the good and the bad including his rape conviction, and the infamous bite. Mike premieres on August 25 with two episodes. Hulu will then present two new episodes to stream weekly. A trailer for Mike arrived this week. Last year, Tyson blasted Hulu for creating a show about him without his consent, his participation, or providing compensation.

This is why we can’t have nice things!!! Pat Benatar is no longer “Hit Me with Your Best Shot” in concert, out of respect for the families of mass shooting victims. In an interview with “USA Today”, she said, quote, “[The title] is tongue in cheek, but you have to draw the line. I can’t say those words out loud with a smile on my face . . . I’m not going to go on stage and soap box, I go to my legislators, but that’s my small contribution to protesting. I’m not going to sing it. Tough.” Pat added that if you want to hear the song, then you can listen to it at home.

Billie Eilish surprised fans on Thursday afternoon and released two new songs, “TV” and “The 30th” as a two-track EP, called Guitar Songs. The songs feature Billie’s soft vocals and Finneas’s acoustic guitar. The pair came up with “The 30th” first “because something happened on Nov. 30, and it had just been the most indescribable thing to have to witness and experience,” according to Billie. As for “TV,” Billie’s been performing it at her European concerts this summer after drawing inspiration from Harry Styles performing “Boyfriends” at Coachella before the song’s official release.  “It’s really vulnerable to play a song that is not out that is that vulnerable to you, and that’s what I wanted to do. I missed doing that.”

Five Finger Death Punch singer Ivan Moody gave up alcohol . . . and he DIED. He’d been on a two-year bender, and decided to stop cold turkey. On the fourth day, he passed out . . . and went beyond. Quote, “For the first time in my existence, I felt peace . . . I remember not worrying about anything . . . There was no matter involved, I was pure energy, and I saw this incredibly blue light. It was the afterlife, and I was on the edge.” Moody is only here today because his daughter was visiting that day, and she got him help. He learned a lesson that day . . . quote, “If you quit drinking without the right medications and whatever else, you will die.”

Guns n’ Roses are back on the charts thanks to the Marvel film ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ featuring their songs in the movie. “Sweet Child of Mine” and “Welcome To The Jungle” are sitting at #2 and #3 on the Billboard Hot Hard Rock Songs chart. “Sweet Child of Mine” had a 5% increase in US streams and a 106% jump in downloads between July 8th and 14th. Dio’s “Rainbow in The Dark”, also featured in ‘Thor’, has seen a 406% increase in digital sales, too.

People either love or HATE Ticketmaster . . . and I guess they KNOW we know, and they’ve just decided to lean into their bad rep and be even MORE garbage-y. Tickets for some dates on next year’s Bruce Springsteen and the E Street band tour went on sale yesterday . . . and fans noticed that the prices were completely out of control. We’re not talking front row, or even VIP. Tickets for a “mid-floor” seat in Tampa were going for $4,400. In Boston, floor seats were $5,000. FYI, these were NOT being sold by scalpers on the secondary market. That’s what Ticketmaster is selling them for. It’s all part of their new “dynamic pricing” program. It allows ticket prices to fluctuate based on supply and demand . . . so that they can rise to the level a reseller would get for them. The theory is that this freezes the scalper out, and the extra money goes directly to the artist and promoter. That’s their claim, anyway. But if Ticketmaster is going to take on scalpers, shouldn’t it be so that the CUSTOMER benefits, and not Ticketmaster itself? Hey, nobody asks me this stuff. I don’t get paid enough. FYI, Bruce’s people have yet to respond to requests for comment. But guitarist Steven Van Zandt told a fan he has, quote, “nothing whatsoever to do with the price of tickets.”

Garth Brooks is releasing the second part of his “Anthology” on November 15th. It’s a 6-disc set with songs from “Fresh Horses” to “Scarecrow”. It’ll also include two new songs, one being an unreleased duet with his wife Trisha Yearwood. A limited edition copy is available for preorder.

Jeff Beck, Duff McKagan, Eric Clapton, Zakk Wylde, Robert Trujillo, Josh Homme and the late Taylor Hawkins are featured on Ozzy’s upcoming album, but the new single from the Prince of Darkness has him reunited with riff God and Black Sabbath bandmate Tony Iommi. Ozzy’s new song, “Degradation Rules”, is the second single from Ozzy’s upcoming album ‘Patient Number 9’, which drops September 9th. Ozzy’s busy today as he makes his Comic-Con debut with Todd McFarlane to reveal his ‘Patient Number 9’ special edition comic book. Iommi is set to perform during the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony later this month.

Kurt Russell and his son Wyatt Russell will be working together after being cast in Apple TV+ Godzilla series. While the pair have both worked in the Marvel Cinematic Universe on separate projects, the new Godzilla and the Titans series will see them appearing on screen together in what will be Kurt Russell’s first TV appearance in around 45 years. So far, there have been very few details released about the series, but the Apple description of the series “the new human family at the center of this show will have deep, mysterious connections to Monarch, the mysterious organization that’d been studying Godzilla and the Titans while also working to hide the creatures’ existences from the general public.” “Deadpool”, “Deadpool 2”, and “Logan” landed on Disney+ today, making them the first R-rated movies on the platform. But Ryan Reynolds believes several classic Disney movies should already be Rated-R. He tweeted four red rating cards for movies that have caused, quote, “irreversible trauma”. Let’s see if you can guess which movie he’s describing based on the description:

1. “Breaking and entering, borderline polyandry, [and] pretty sure those diamonds aren’t cruelty free.” Answer: “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” (1937).

2. “Total ugly-cry inducing straight-up murder of Old Yeller. Also, bear abuse.” Answer: “Old Yeller” (1957).

3. “Fratricide, mauling, very possibly half-sibling lovin’, or at least kissing cousins. Seriously.” Answer: “The Lion King” (1994).

4. “Cold-blooded killing of an innocent deer mom, that will cause lifelong trauma.” Answer: “Bambi” (1942).

The Los Angeles Rams on Thursday night unveiled their Super Bowl LVI rings featuring what the team said is the most carat weight in the history of a sports championship ring. The rings were unveiled in a private ceremony. The top of the ring features the Rams’ logo made up of blue and yellow sapphires, the Lombardi trophy and two palm trees. Under the removable top of the ring there is a view of SoFi Stadium, surrounded by a piece of a Super Bowl LVI game ball. The field underneath the roof is made up of remnants of the SoFi Stadium turf from the 2020 and 2021 seasons. Each ring has approximately 20 carats of white diamonds set on white and yellow gold, to represent the official opening of SoFi Stadium in 2020.

The Cardinals and Kyler Murray have agreed to a contract extension. Early yesterday we started hearing that a “monster” contract extension was agreed upon. The deal is worth $230.5 million over five years that includes $160 million guaranteed. Murray is now the NFL’s second highest-paid quarterback with a $46.1 million salary per year.

LIV Golf may not be done adding big-name personalities to its broadcasting team. We all know that David Feherty was parting ways with NBC Sports and going to LIV Golf…and now we are hearing that Charles Barkley is expecting an offer. Barkley said that he would be playing in the pro-am of next week’s event at Trump National Golf Club in New Jersey, and that LIV Golf CEO Greg Norman would be preparing an offer to join the circuit as a broadcaster. Barkley is under contract to TNT as part of its popular “Inside the NBA” studio show, but he’s also a noted golf fanatic. He played recently in the American Century Championship and tied for 74th in an 87-player field.

Magnus Carlsen, the reigning world chess champion, has announced he will not defend his title next year because he is just “not motivated to play another match” at the World Chess Championship. The Norwegian made the announcement — a monumental one for the industry he has dominated for a decade — on International Chess Day. Carlsen has held the title since 2013, when, at 22, he won it from an Indian chess grandmaster. Carlsen has won every World Chess Championship since then but had already expressed frustration with the format of the competition.

And finally — Felice Herrig, currently of the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, joined OnlyFans, where she is selling photos of her feet on the exclusive content site. The income she rakes in from OnlyFans has allowed her to have a more flexible fight schedule. Herrig, who also sells her used socks for $150, is going all-in on the business, as her OnlyFans profile currently states, “If you’re a sucker for pretty feet – you’ve come to the right place.” Herrig (14-10 MMA, 5-5 UFC) announced her MMA retirement last month after losing to at UFC Vegas 56
