Who said you can't wear sandals in winter?

Scouting report: These cold-weather slippers and sandals are furry, great

I won't lie, I used to think that furry sandals are a bit useless. I mean, who in their mind would wear fur (artificial or otherwise) outdoors? Well, obviously, I do.

When I first saw OluKai's Kipi Heu slippers and sandals, I felt a bit silly. I opened the box and prepared to send it back and tried them on. love at first sight! The slippers are soft and warm, so I don’t have to wear socks on cool days, so I wear these bad boys in the city.

OluKai likes to call them "year-round" slippers, which may be true if you live in a cool climate. When the weather exceeds 60 degrees, they are a bit too hot for me, but when it’s in the 40s or 50s and my landlord hasn’t turned on the heat yet, these fluffy foot warmers are like mini grills on my feet Bread machine. Shearling-wrapped sandals are very soft, so I never want to take them off, and because of the use of non-marking wet-grip rubber soles, I will not be like the so-called "grip socks" I used to use as slippers.

They come in three different colors: cream, black and tan.

Normally, you will never see me wearing furry slippers outside my house (at least as I said before, anyway), not only because I would be too embarrassed, but also because most slippers do not have a firm sole. Because these slippers have a sturdy sole—not to mention an anatomical footbed with foam padding to make them more comfortable—they are perfect for outdoor wear. I started wearing them for quick walks nearby, or wearing them when sending my niece to school. After graduation, I can wear them for almost any errand I need to run.

Feel free to judge, I really don't care. My feet are comfortable, and my toes are wearing my new slippers and sandals, so I am laughing at haters at gas stations and grocery stores.
